Dr. Peltier was born in Minneapolis and raised in the Midwest. He started in practice in Minneapolis in 1980 and was full time at Hennepin County Medical Center until his retirement in 2014. His area of interest was burn injuries and their reconstruction in addition to teaching in multiple plastic surgery clinics. George has a longstanding interest in music and currently plays violin in the Minnetonka Symphony. He has played almost continually since childhood even during medical school. He is the past president of the Music Association of Minnetonka and served on their board for three years. When his wife was recovering from an illness, they needed some activity for her rehabilitation and stopped at the Arthur Murray studio in Edina where they felt immediately at home. George and Claudia have taken lessons steadily since 2013. He is pleased to help raise support for the Leukemia Society by participating in Dancing with the Twin Cities Celebrities in June.
