Dancing to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Jake Travis is a native Minnesotan with a passion for giving back to his community. He was recruited during college to join tech and marketing startup, DIVI, where his gift of being incredibly outgoing has served him well. Over the last two years, Jake has personally met with nearly every business owner in the Twin Cities to invite them to use mobile platform DIVI UP, an app that helps businesses raise money for local charities by marketing their promotions. Recently, Jake’s four-year-old daughter, Mia, asked him to teach her to dance. When Jake himself was that age, his grandfather fought to survive Stage 3 Lymphoma, so when the opportunity arose to dance to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, he knew it was fate.
About The LLS Society:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. As there are no means of preventing or early screening for most blood cancers, the LLS research agenda is focused on finding cures. LLS is the leading source of free, highly specialized blood cancer information, education and support for patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals. We touch patients in their communities through our chapters across the U.S. and Canada. We advocate for blood cancer survivors and their families, helping patients navigate their cancer treatments and ensuring they have access to quality, affordable and coordinated care.
LLS recognizes that finding cures is not enough; we need to ensure that patients have access to the treatments, services and providers they need to live longer, better, healthier lives. Our team is committed to ensuring that patients have access to adequate network of providers and services and are protected from high out-of-pocket costs that limit access to life-saving treatments.
