Love of creativity and building solid relationships is what drew Julia to her career in marketing. While working at CBS for WLTE she realized her talent and true passion and decided to launch her own marketing and media business. Lighthouse Marketing Media is a boutique agency that offers an array of marketing services including brand strategy, media planning and buying, event marketing and social media. Julia works with several local businesses in the Twin Cities. She is also currently partnering with a colleague from Splash Media University on an innovative marketing/social media workshop for small businesses.
Julia’s career path led her to be a part of the 2018 Dancing with the Twin Cities’ Celebrity’s Charity Ball. She was working with a Mexican Restaurant chain on their Cinco d’ Mayo promotion and decided to contact Twin Cities Arthur Murray to ask them to provide salsa dancers for the event. Discovering they had a need for her services Arthur Murray also became a client. That was ten years ago and she has been working with them ever since. “I love what the Arthur Murray brand stand for, mental and physical health, setting and accomplishing goals and of course FUN! Now I have the opportunity to really live the brand that I have been promoting for years.”
Julia jokes about being a “non-celebrity” celebrity and goes on to say, “I believe doors open when they should and things happen for a reason. I am grateful to dance for a cause that is personal to me and close to my heart.” Julia is dancing for Evolve Adoption and Family Services. They were instrumental in helping her and her husband adopt their son Jake, at birth, now seven.
Julia, her husband and son live in Stillwater MN. She enjoys running, golf, sailing on Lake Superior and spending time at the cabin with friends and family.
Julia studied Marketing Management and Innovation at Concordia University and finished Summa Cum Laude. She also has her Master Social Media Certification from Splash Media University.
